Captain Bob is his name and title respectfully.  Captain Bob has a flip phone, standard issue boat shoes, and sports a Patagonia style vest which he bought 25 years before Yvon Chouinard’s design team ‘invented’ $300 sleeveless jackets.

When and if you have the pleasure of meeting our Captain for the day you will immediately begin to smile nearly uncontrollably.  This is due to the fact that you’ve just met an individual whose only goal is to share his joy filled lifestyle with clients day by day.  Once aboard Bob’s 34 foot sailboat nothing else truly seems to matter.  Maybe it was the ice-cold beer which is waiting for you or maybe it is the calming putter of the inboard motor as you slip out of the Oceanside harbor with a pelican as your wing man.

Soon enough Captain Bob swung our 24,000 pound boat into an adventure following a pod of blue whales quietly under the power of our sails.  As we tacked back and fourth a few miles offshore my beautiful wife and I sat on the lovely pad filled deck sipping Chianti on our own private yacht for the day.  We were living our own Mediterranean cruise between Venice and Santorini from the comfort of our backyard in Oceanside, California just 10 miles from our home.  We kept saying, “who knew there was such an amazing afternoon just waiting for us and our friends right next to our house?”

After two romantic hours, dolphins led us back to the harbor while the northwest breeze pushed our sails and us back to reality.  Captain Bob gave us an anniversary gift that is timeless.  He gave us memories that will last the course of our incredible marriage.  I cannot recommend Captain Bob’s sailing trips to enough people if you are looking for something unique which you and your loved one(s) will never forget.  Close your eyes and listen to the wind race through your ears as Captain Bob and his lovely boat rejuvenate your soul as well as help check one more box on your bucket-list.
